EWA Says It Readjusted June, July and August Bills Retrospectively
2019-08-20 - 4:48 p
Bahrain Mirror: The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) said that it readjusted the June, July, and August electricity and water bills for citizens based on last year's issued amount. The readjustment followed directives issued by Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
EWA added in a statement that the readjusted bills for June, July and August would be issued in the September bills retrospectively.
Citizens complained of an abnormal rise in their bills, which later turned out to be the result of a new method of calculating subsidized bills on a daily rather than a monthly basis, which eventually led to increasing the bills to double or more.
