Poverty Non-Existent in Bahrain: Undersecretary for International Affairs

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for International Affairs Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said that the poverty and hunger are non-existent in Bahrain.
He explained during his meeting with Director of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Abdul Majeed Yahya that "Bahrain has achieved 78% of the Sustainable Development Goals". He pointed out that according to international standards; poverty and hunger are non-existent in Bahrain.
Bahrain refuses to set a poverty line. Civil reports indicate that half of the population lives below the poverty line.
