Authorities Refuse to Apply "Alternative Punishment Law" on Detainee Khalil Al-Halwachi

Bahrain Mirror: Family of prisoner of conscience and leader in Amal Society, Khalil Al-Halwachi, said that the authorities have officially rejected to alternate his prison term verdict with another punishment within the alternative punishment law.
His daughter Fatima Al-Halwachi said that her father has completed half of his 10-year prison term verdict.
Khalil Al-Halwachi suffers from health deterioration. He has been imprisoned since September 2014. The authorities accuse him of possessing weapons; the charge which he denies. Meanwhile, his family says the charges are fabricated.
