Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Alosra supermarket chain justified its supply and sale of Israeli products by saying it was by mistake and by an individual act.
It explained in a statement via its account on Instagram that it had followed what was said about its sale of "products from a source that Alosra does not deal with", adding that it immediately withdrew the product from shelves and contacted "the entity responsible for supplying this product for clarification and addressing the issue."
"The potato season in Ireland was nearing its end, and the supplier decided to bring potatoes from another source," it noted, adding that the issue was "a misunderstanding based on an individual decision taken without reference to Alosra at the time."
Concluding the statement, Alosra apologized to customers and stressed that they took measures to avoid such issues from happening in the future.
