Bahrain Mirror: In a rare move, Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa chaired the regular cabinet session following the absence of Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa who is currently in Thailand as well as First Deputy Prime Minister Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
It was unclear why Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad, who chaired the cabinet meeting last week, did not attend.
The Prime Minister has 5 deputies: First Deputy Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa (Prime Minister 's son), Jawad Al-Areed and Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
It is not common for the Prime Minister and First Deputy to be absent at the same time.
