Bahrain Mirror: US Congress member Ilhan Omar said that Bahrain is "dictatorship" and it commits vast abuses. "If we are against police brutality in Minneapolis we must oppose it in Manama," she stressed.
During her speech in the opening of Americans for Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain event, held yesterday (June 11, 2019) in the Congress, she emphasized that "Interior Ministry officials have been implicated in human rights violations with little accountability."
She stressed that Congress should be looking closely at ending arms sales to Bahrain because "when we support a government that violates human rights, we undermine our efforts and standing around the world."
