Ministries in Bahrain Cut off Luxury Water and Chocolate in Framework of Spending Cuts: Local Newspaper

Bahrain Mirror: The majority of the ministries in Bahrain have replaced the mineral drinking water bottles whose prices range from 350 to 500 fils per small bottle with mineral water whose prices range between 50 and 100 fils per bottle only, within the framework of the budget reduction program implemented in the ministries, report the local Bahraini Akhbar Al Khaleej newspaper.
Most of the officials in the ministries were using the french Evian and Volvik, which cost the ministries of state tens of thousands of dinars annually, according to the newspaper.
It added that it was also noted that the majority of meetings of officials lacked the luxury chocolate and water as well as pastries and other luxury items that were found in most offices of the ministries, only offering tea and regular water.
