Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini Interior Minister Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa met with Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Iraq Aqeel Mahmoud Al-Khazali on the sidelines of the 36th session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council held in Tunisia.
During the meeting, which was held on Sunday, March 3, 2019, they discussed ways to enhance security cooperation and coordination, in addition to a number of security issues of common concern.
The meeting comes after tension in relations, following criticism from the Government of Bahrain over the February 14 Youth Coalition announcement of the formation of its political council in Baghdad, in a conference held in the Green Zone in the presence of former Iraqi Vice President Nouri Al-Maliki.
