Sadiq Al-Shaabani Released after 5 Years in Jail over “Bahrain Tamarod” Case

Bahrain Mirror: The security authorities released on Thursday (Febraury 14, 2019) detainee Sadiq Al-Shaabani after spending 5 years in jail over what is known as "Bahrain Tamarod" case.
Human rights and political resources said that Al-Shaabani was subjected to most severe torture in order to extract his confession. He was asked to say that Sayara Al-Ashtar is affiliated to Al-Wefaq society.
Al-Shaabani was arrested in Amman and the Omani authorities handed him to Bahrain. He was an employee in Bahrain University, a theater actor and was very active on social media outlets. He was arrested several times in 2011 and 2012.
