Foreign Remittances in Bahrain Exceeded $10 Billion within 4 Years only

Bahrain Mirror: Remittances by foreign workers in Bahrain amounted to about 4 million dinars ($10 billion) within 4 years only, which adds new burdens to the country.
Data published by a local newspaper showed that foreign remittances have increased by about 30% since 2015, with the government increasing its dependence on foreigners in the public sector and increasing the employment of foreigners in private companies.
Foreign remittances amounted to 890 million dinars in 2015 and increased to more than one billion and 200 million dinars (according to official numbers for the first half of the year).
