Bahrain Mirror: Detainee Hadeer Abdullah demanded her right to a family visit, stressing that holding her in prison is a blatant violation to her right, because she committed no crime.
This came in phone call Hadeer had with human rights activist Ibtisam Al-Saegh from the pre-trial detention in Isa Town Women's Prison.
The security authorities arrest Hadeer, 25, on Monday (January 14, 2019) after summoning her for interrogation through a call and a text message.
Ibtisam Al-Saegh said "the public prosecution is now required to expedite the process of allowing detainee Hadeer to receive her right to communicate with the outside world and her family visit," noting that the prison regulations clearly stipulate that prisoners have the right to one visit per week in the case of pre-trial detention.
