Bahrain: Tourists Exempted from Value Added Tax

Bahrain Mirror: The Tax Authority is completing the necessary technical preparations for launching a refund system of the amounts collected as value added tax from tourists and visitors upon leaving Bahrain, an official statement said.
The new system will be implemented during the current year, said the National Gulf Taxes Authority, pointing out that the system of refunding the amounts collected from tourists and visitors will be implemented in cooperation with one of the international companies specialized in this area, using comprehensive high capacity digital technology to ensure that all tourists receive the amounts.
