NAO Report: Works and Municipalities Ministry Haven’t Paid Dues Worth 3.3 Million Dinars since 2011

Bahrain Mirror: The Financial and Administrative National Audit Office disclosed in its report for 2017 and 2018 that the Ministry of Works and Municipalities has not paid its financial obligations to a number of suppliers, some of which go back to 2011, worth 3.3 million dinars.
The NAO affirmed that this violates the provisions of Article 38 of the General Budget Law of the State and the Minister of Finance's circular on the accounting standards and principles.
In the same context, the NAO reported that the ministry was late in paying due financial obligations to some suppliers and traders for goods and services worth 7.7 million dinars.
