Bahrain Mirror: The governmental committee supervising elections had to provide free transportation service for those who would like to head to voting centers to vote amid wide elections boycott.

The committee said that it provides this service launching from its keen on overcoming all obstacles and empowering citizens to exercise their constitutional right and participation in decision-making.

The Committee has set a local number to communicate with it via WhatsApp or direct contact where a car will be immediately sent to the voter to transport him to the polling station.

The authorities have made a series of measures aimed at pushing citizens to vote in elections that are in great reluctance due to the frustration of citizens, as well as the opposition's decision to boycott the elections.

The authorities arrested a number of citizens, including Al-Wefaq former MP Al-Asheeri who announced boycotting elections through a tweet.

The local press also published statements by former MPs, most notably the former President Ahmed Al-Mulla, calling to hold boycotters accountable and delay their housing requests.
