Trial of Former MP Ali Al-Asheeri over Tweet in which he Announced Boycotting Elections Starts on Nov. 27

Bahrain Mirror: The Public Prosecution referred on Wednesday (November 21, 2018) Al-Wefaq former MP Ali Al-Asheeri to trial over charge of "misusing mobile phone" on background of a tweet in which he announced boycotting elections.
Lawyer Mohammed Al-Tajer said that the minor criminal court will consider Al-Asheeri's case on November 27.
Al-Asheeri had announced boycotting elections on Twitter. However, the prosecution deemed the tweet a confusion to the electoral process organized by the authorities amid wide boycott from citizens.
