Khalid bin Abdullah: Number of Applications for Optional Retirement Program Increases to 7,000

Bahrain Mirror: Deputy Prime Minister Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said that approximately 7,000 employees had applied for the voluntary retirement program offered by the government as part of a plan to reduce public spending.
He said during the 2018 government forum that the door is open for receiving additional requests until November 8, 2018.
A Civil Service Bureau source; however, said that hundreds had expressed their wish to withdraw their applications.
