Marshal Receives Commander of Peninsula Shield Forces

Bahrain Mirror: Commander-in-Chief of Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Marshal Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received on Monday (October 22, 2018) Commander of the Peninsula Shield Forces Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al-Balawi. The meeting was attended by BDF Chief of Staff Dhiab Al-Nuaimi.
The BDF Commander-in-Chief lauded the efforts of the Peninsula Shield Forces in boosting common goal and destiny binding the GCC countries.
Saudi and Emirati forces entered Bahrain in March 2011 within Peninsula Shield Forces to suppress the vast protests erupted in the country, demanding putting an end to Al Khalifa monopoly over power and democratic transition.
The Gulf forces haven't left Bahrain since they entered, i.e. 7 years ago.
