Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini court has started the trial of six protesters accused by the Interior Ministry of attempting to kill a number of police officers, a charge usually directed at protesters in Bahrain.
According to the Ministry, the defendants attempted to target those stationed at the entrance to the Nuwaidrat area, using a homemade bomb which they detonated near them, after they had lured the police forces by assembling and causing a riot.
The Interior Ministry said one of its employees had been injured and taken directly to the hospital for treatment.
The court postponed the case until the September 18 hearing; to appoint a lawyer for the defendants whose ages range between 18 and 26.
