Parliament Refers Amendments to Municipal Law to Shura Council after Approval

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini House of Representatives passed on Tuesday (26 June 2018) amendments to the Municipal Law, after discussing the third supplementary report of the Committee of Utilities and the Environment.
The law was drafted on the basis of a bill proposed by the House of Representatives to amend some provisions of the Municipalities Law promulgated by Legislative Decree No. 35 of 2001 and a draft law based on a bill proposed by the Shura Council to amend Article 20 of the Municipalities Law promulgated by Legislative Decree No. 35 of 2001.
The Parliament decided to approve the draft law and all the final amendments made to it as a matter of urgency and referred it to the Shura Council.
