King Hamad Arrives in Bahrain in Short Visit, Meets King Hamad

Bahrain Mirror: King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received King Abdullah II of Jordan, who arrived to Bahrain on a fraternal visit to offer condolences on the demise of King Hamad's former wife Hala bint Duaij Al Khalifa.
According to a statement, the Crown Prince was also present to receive the King of Jordan.
The Bahraini-Jordanian relations are considered strong. Forces from Jordanian officers have taken part in suppressing the pro-democracy protests in Bahrain since 2011.
In December 2014, a Jordanian officer died in clashes between protestors and ministry of interior forces in the Shiite village of Damistan. This shed the light more on the role of Jordanian officers in clamping down on protests inside Bahrain.
Since 2011, Bahrain has used Emirate, Saudi and Jordanian forces to suppress the vast protests led by Shia majority, to put an end to Al Khalifa monopoly over power.
