Shura Council To Hold Exceptional Session to Vote on Retirement Law

Bahrain Mirror: Press information stated that service committee in the Shura council will hold a meeting on Sunday to discuss the retirement law, finish it and refer its report to the office's commission on the same day, as an introduction to discuss the law in an exceptional session on Wednesday, June 13.
Information showed that the Shura Council will have to hold an exceptional session next Wednesday, because the law was urgently referred to the legislative authority and the deadline expires on Tuesday, June 19. The deadline coincides with vacation of Eid Al-Fitr, thus, the council has to hold an exceptional session before the vacation.
The legislative authority in Bahrain consists of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council that is appointed by the King who controls its decisions.
