House of Representatives Passes First Health Insurance Law

Bahrain Mirror: The House of Representatives agreed (Tuesday, April 17, 2018) on a health insurance bill and referred it to the Shura Council before presenting it to the King to ratify it.
The bill is considered to be the first of its kind in the country. According to the bill, the government will pay contributions on behalf of its nationals, whereas employers ensure expatriates.
The Government provides mandatory health services. Meanwhile, the government issues decision showing the fees that would be imposed on optional services.
