Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini cabinet approved the launch of a new version of the Mazaya program in light of the recommendations of the coordination committee headed by Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad, on the condition that these amendments come into effect in January 2019.
The upgraded Mazaya program of benefits contributes to expanding the range of beneficiaries of housing services offered by the program, which was first launched in 2013 and provided more than 2,600 housing units, 55% of which as new current requests, according to the presentation of the Minister of Housing.
One of the most important features of the program is to allow those with incomes ranging between 500 to 1500 dinars, whose requests are on waiting lists, to benefit from the program and thus have speedy access to housing services. The implementation of the new standards will take place in early 2019.
