Ali Al-Binali’s Trial Begins in New Fraud Case

2018-04-11 - 2:08 am

Bahrain Mirror: The Second Minor Criminal Court decided to adjourn the trial of Ali Al-Binali, who is being prosecuted on charges of defrauding citizens and giving them gold bars to sell in prices that are not commensurate with their market value in exchange for debt securities, until April 16 to summon the victim, who filed the complaint, to hear her statement.

Al-Binali attended the second hearing of its kind, and his attorney requested that the court summons the complainant to hear her statement.

The case was made after two complaints against Al-Binali were filed by citizens, who accused him of selling them gold bullion fringes in exchange for debt securities ranging between 10,000 and 15,000 Bahraini dinars, adding that they then discovered that their actual values range between 1,000 and 2,000 dinars only, and when they went back to him to inquire about the matter, he asked them to pay the sums they had signed, otherwise he would go to the court with the security debts.
