Bahrain Mirror: Foreign doctors make up more than a quarter of the members of the Bahrain Medical Society, whose board of directors members are due to be elected on April 7.
"The Society's members amount to 1,068, 758 of whom are Bahraini nationals," said the chairman of the Society, Mohammad Abdullah, meaning that 310 members are non-Bahrainis.
The appointed board of directors, chaired by Nabil Al-Ansari (April 6, 2011), has amended the Society's statute allowing foreigners to be nominated and vote, following the dissolution of the elected board of directors after a team of doctors treated the injured during the 2011 protests.
