Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini High Criminal Court of Appeals ruled that the sentence of a female employee in a Gulf dairy company be commuted. The employee was convicted of filing for 63 visitor visas sponsored by the company without the company administration's knowledge and selling them. Her prison sentence was commuted from five to three years.

The Public Prosecutor's Office accused the defendant of forging an official form for the Nationality, Passport & Residence Affairs, by adding her signature to the form and used the forged document well aware of the forgery. She was also accused of forging an authorisation form by the company by adding a false signature and using the said forged form.

A First Instance Court had sentenced the defendant to five years' imprisonment and ordered referring the civil lawsuit to a competent court with no expenses, and confiscating the forged papers.
