Bahrain Mirror: The High Appeals Court upheld a verdict issued against defendants accused of joining "Al-Wafa Islamic Party". The first instance court had sentenced the first suspect to 10 years in prison and the second suspect to 7 years, revoked their citizenships and acquitted the third one of the charges brought against him.

The authorities accuse the first suspect of joining 14 February and Al-Wafa parties through the second suspect. The authorities claim that the first suspect received money from the two groups to stage assemblies in Al-Daih and buy needed equipment to make banners and slogans used in protests.

The Public Prosecution accused the suspects of joining, along with other unknowns, in 2015 and 2016, a group that aims at suspending the provision of Constitution, preventing the state's institutions from performing their work and attacking the personal freedom of citizens as well as harming the national unity.  The prosecution said that the suspects used violence to achieve the aims the parties call for, despite being aware of their aims. It also accused the first suspect of collecting and giving the terrorist group, "Al-Wafa", money, despite knowing that it practices terrorist activities.
