The report indicated that the Authority reconnected the power supply to one of the consumers after cutting it due to accumulation of due payments that reached 66,517 BD, although he still has not paid the dues.
The National Audit Office recommended that the Authority commit to instructions of standard finance manual in taking measures against consumers who failed to pay their bills over long periods of time and collect the overdue charges. The Office further recommended that the Authority refrain from reconnecting the power supply to these consumers unless they pay their debts.
