NAO: Director in Municipality Received Salaries Reaching Up to 138000 BD While Off Work

Bahrain Mirror: The National Audit Office report for the years 2016-2017 stated that a government official received salaries reaching up to 138000 BD, while off work.
The report stated that after the Prime Minister issued decree 48/2012 appointing an acting president over the joint Municipal Services Department of the Ministry, the ministry continued to pay the salaries and bonuses to the former director until the end of June 2016; his date of retirement.
The report further stated that the previous director received his salaries while being off work, adding that the salaries and bonuses he received reached 138000 BD.
