Military Court Adjourns Trial of Citizens over Political Motivated Cases until Nov. 23

Bahrain Mirror: A military court in Bahrain postponed on Monday (November 20, 2017) the trial of 9 citizens over political reasons until November 23.
The authorities accuse the convicts of attempting to target facilities belonging to the Bahrain Defense Force.
Some of the suspects were forcibly disappeared for about a year without allowing their families or lawyers to meet them. This measure was met with condemnations from international human rights organizations.
Earlier this year, the constitution was amended allowing military courts to try civilians.
On November 2, 2017, the military jurisdiction decided to change the trial of the 9 convicts into "secret" trials and banned reporting about the case.
It is to mention that the military jurisdiction referred the case to military court on October 23, 2017.
