Bahrain Mirror: Activists, former detainees and social media pages will launch on Sunday (November 19, 2017) a campaign to expose the torture practiced in Bahrain.
The campaign, which will be launched under the hashtag #Confession_Under_Torture will include the release of recorded testimonies of detainees who have been tortured in Bahraini prisons and forced into giving incriminating confessions.
Rights groups have confirmed that Bahrain resorts to torture to extract confessions from detainees. Manama did not respond to repeated requests to allow the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture to visit Bahraini prisons.
