NHRA Suspends 7 Labs until Ensuring “Quality of Analysis Results”

Bahrain Mirror: Head of healthcare facilities in the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) Dr. Maha Al-Kuwari said that the NHRA, in cooperation with Health Ministry- public health laboratory being a reference lab accredited by the World Health Organization- evaluated all the results and works of labs found in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
NHRA has finished evaluating 22 Labs so far, through sending random blood samples to these labs and make them analyze them and compare the results of the private labs with those of the public health lab.
Al-Kuwari indicated that in case the results don't match, the lab is asked to stop blood analyses until improving the quality of its analyses. She went on to say that 7 labs gave out unmatching results and were asked to stop until they ensure the quality of analysis results
Al-Kuwari said that the NHRA started to evaluate the samples of infectious diseases, being the most important diseases that affect health and might spread.
