Bahrain Mirror: The head of the military judiciary, Yousuf Rashed Fleifel, said that the security authorities specialized in combating terrorism in the Bahrain Defense Force (BFD), after obtaining information and conducting investigations, interrogations and surveillance, managed to arrest a "terrorist cell" that committed a number of terrorist crimes against the Bahrain Defense Force. The Military Prosecution concluded after the completion of its investigations referring the defendants in this case to the competent military court.
"The case has been referred to the supreme military court, which will determine the scheduled date of the trial, noting that all judicial guarantees will be provided under the provisions of the law," he added.
The authorities in Bahrain had carried out a constitutional amendment approved by the country's King, allowing the trial of civilians before military courts, in a move criticized by the United States, United Nations and international human rights organizations.
