King Hamad Gives Commander of US Fifth Naval Fleet Medal of First Class, Thanks Him for Bolstering Military Cooperation

Bahrain Mirror: King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Sakhir Palace yesterday (Wednesday, September 13, 2017) the US Ambassador to Bahrain William Roebuck who introduced to him outgoing Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command and Fifth Fleet Admiral Kevin M. Donegan and Admiral John Aquilino , the new Commander.
The King lauded deep-rooted and growing historic relations between Bahrain and the USA and solid partnership between both countries mainly in the military and defence field.
King Hamad commended the efforts of Admiral Donegan to bolster bilateral cooperation mainly in the military and defence field, wishing Admiral Aquilino every success in his new duties.
He also hailed the role of the US administration, in cooperation with allies and friends, to foster regional and international peace, security and stability.
The King conferred Bahrain Medal of the First Class on Admiral Donegan in appreciation of his efforts to further cement ties between the two friendly countries, wishing him success in his future duties.
