Bahrain Mirror: The Jaw Central Prison administration moved the detained artist Sadiq Al-Shaabani to solitary confinement after a complaint he filed to the concerned authorities, stating that he did not receive necessary treatment, as he suffers from stomach and colon illnesses.
The "Bahrain Al-Youm" newspaper reported that the prison administration of Jaw Prison had imposed solitary confinement on detainees for unclear reasons, noting that detainee Riyad Al-Asfour was moved from Manama (Wednesday 16 August 2017) to a solitary cell for "failing to comply with the prison administration's instructions to stand in front of the guards during the search of the cells."
It further stated that detainee Mohammed Al-Singace "has been held in solitary confinement for three days, while Hussein Ramadan, from the town of Sanabis, was returned to the cell days after being transferred to solitary, because of the overcrowding of detainees transferred to solitary confinement and lack of space."
