Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini security authorities have continued on Friday (August 11, 2017) to prevent the Shia majority from performing their largest Friday prayer in the Imam Al-Sadiq mosque in Diraz that has been witnessing a security siege since over a year.
Activists published photos on social media outlets showing people performing Friday prayers separately (without being led by an Imam) in the Imam Al-Sadiq mosque, where the largest Friday prayers for the Shia majority were used to be held.
The authorities prevented, since June 2016, Shia from performing Friday prayer, revoked citizenship of the spiritual leader of Shia majority, Sheikh Isa Qassim, and arrested dozens of Shiite clerics.
