Registration for Scholarships Begins Tuesday

Bahrain Mirror: The Ministry of Education announced opening the registration door for scholarships as of Tuesday (July 11, 2017), through the Ministry or Bahraini government website.
Bahrain's Education Minister Majid al-Nuaimi said that the scholarships plan "focused on covering the needs of the Ministry, aiming at the Bahranization of vacancies in its schools." It also said it focuses on other majors that are specified under the framework of actual need for governmental institutions, authorities, banks and major companies.
The Ministry of Education has been criticized for its discriminating approach in the distribution of scholarships. Since 2011, outstanding Shiite students have been complaining from being denied their first educational picks as majors, and are granted scholarships in undesirable specialties.
