Gov’t Amendment on Budget Reveals BD 5 million Increase in Budget Deficit

Bahrain Mirror: The government amendments to the general budget draft law for the fiscal years 2017-2018 revealed an increase in the budget deficit from BD 1 billion, 336 million and 6 thousand in the fiscal year 2017 to BD 1 billion, 341 million and 434 thousand, i.e. an increase of BD 5 million 428 thousand.
Moreover, the deficit in the fiscal year 2018 increased from BD 1 billion, 240 million and 384 thousand to BD 1 billion, 315 thousand and 579, an increase of BD 75 million and 195 thousand.
In addition, the Committee on Financial and Economic Affairs in the Bahraini Parliament agreed to pass the general budget draft law for the fiscal years 2017 and 2018.
