Bahrain Mirror: Education Minister Majid Al-Nuaimi relied on the recommendations raised by Acting Undersecretary for Education and Curriculum Fawzi Al-Jowder regarding the situation of Al-Majd Private School that was violating rules stipulated by the government.
The minister decided to suspend classes in the intermediate and secondary stages of the school, starting from the next academic year 2017/2018 and apply the amendment of the license granted to the school by cancelling these two stages permanently. The school will only be allowed to teach the kindergarten and primary education stages until the conditions of the two suspended stages are rectified.
Other procedures taken against the school included obliging the school to refund parents of pupils studying in the suspended stages, suspending registration for new primary stage students for the next academic year and providing the ministry with proof of each step taken.
