Bahrain Mirror: Health Minister Faeqa Al-Saleh disclosed a number of administrative resignations in the Ministry of Health reaching 37 cases. Meanwhile, the minister explained that 40 doctors submitted their resignation, 26 were considered normal retirements and 14 were early retirements.
Al-Saleh indicated that the administrative resignations were signed and referred to the civil service bureau and that half of those who resigned retracted their resignations and returned to the health ministry.
The minister said that the reason behind these resignations is that doctors got other jobs with better benefits and some prefer to open private clinics. "What matters now is that the doctor remains in Bahrain, there's nothing wrong with that at all events, although the ministry tries hard to convince the resigned doctor to stay, however, this is difficult due to his living conditions," Faeqa Al-Saleh expressed, noting that "the number of resigned doctors is not high".
