Government of Bahrain Welcomes Hosting “FIFA Congress” with Participation of Israeli Delegation

Bahrain Mirror: The Government of Bahrain welcomed in a statement on Monday (May 8, 2017) the hosting of the congress of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) which is held in Bahrain with participation of an Israeli delegation.
Civil institutions had expressed their condemnation to Bahrain's decision to host the meeting with an Israeli participation.
The Cabinet tasked all relevant sides "to consolidate the necessary preparations to ensure the success of such a major international gathering" and highlighted that this event "reflects the kingdom's status as a global destination for hosting mega sporting events."
