Bahrain Mirror: Netherlands recommended Bahraini government to cancel the latest constitution amendment that allows military courts to try civilians.
Netherland's recommendation to Bahrain came within an intervention it made on Monday (May 1, 2017) in the 27th session of the UPR in Geneva on Bahrain's human rights record.
Netherland expressed regret for what it called "slow progress in human rights in Bahrain since 2011", saying that it is necessary to abolish any law that restricts freedoms.
It added that contribution of civil society is considered something important and guaranteeing their security is essential, calling on Bahrain to reconsider restrictions imposed on the travel of representatives of civil society organizations.
