Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini Undersecretary of Ministry of Labor Sabah Al-Dosari, confirmed that there is a problem in "foreign labor" control through the position of human resources, in the recruitment process in some private sector institutions.
In an interview published by al-Wasat daily newspaper (Sunday April 30, 2017), Al-Dosari revealed that the Labor Ministry will target human resources positions, and work supervisors, through their "Bahranization" and gathering all ideas in this regard, before taking any decisions.
The Labor Undersecretary believed that human resources positions are "the backbone of any institution, as they provide no less than 25 thousand jobs, with salaries ranging from 400 to 500 Dinars in small institutions. Bahranization would facilitate the recruitment process for us."
On the level of the Ministry's efforts to narrow the widening gap between national and foreign labor, Al-Dosari praised the Saudi and Emirati experiences in allocating specific positions for citizens and said, "For us at the Labor Ministry, Minister Jameel Humaidan has ideas that will be raised at the Council of Ministers. They are close to what Saudi Arabia and UAE has done through their competent Ministry of Labor."
