Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini Member of Parliament, and head of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee in the council, MP Abdulrahman Bu Ali, said he would not be surprised if he received the budget and saw a reduction in current benefits. He also expects that there would be a reduction in the number of government employee.
On this level, he asserted that the vision in this regard "is not only vague, but also frightening, however, for our part as MPs, we will not pass the budget if we found any breach in the support provided for citizens."
Moreover, during a seminar held at Al-Jazeera Cultural Center, he said that the new budget will freeze some governmental projects.
Head of the parliamentary Financial and Economic Affairs Committee noted that while there are rumors that the general budget would be discussed urgently in the Council of Representatives, this is something they don't hope for, as such discussions take a lot of time.
