One Quarter of Information Ministry Employees are Foreigners, Official Numbers Suggest

Bahrain Mirror: The number of Ministry of Information Affairs' staff was recorded to be 1092 employees, divided into 820 Bahrainis, constituting 75%, and 272 foreigners, constituting 25% of the staff, according to official numbers presented by Minister of Information Ali Al-Rumaihi to MP Ghazi Al Rahma.
The numbers exhibited that most Bahraini employees in the Ministry work on a permanent contract basis, while only 33 Bahrainis only work on temporary contract basis out of 787 employees. Temporary Bahraini employees therefore represent only 4%.
On the other hand, around 92%, i.e. 250 foreigners work on temporary basis in the Ministry, while only 22 foreign employees work on permanent basis.
On a different now, Minister Al-Rumaihi noted that his ministry had tailed different training programs for employees targeting 200 of them.
