Parliament Committee Rejects Bill for Continuing Unemployment Benefits for the Disabled

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Parliament's services committee rejected a bill for continuing unemployment benefits for the disabled during their search for jobs.
The committee stated that those who suffer from disabilities are included among those entitled to collect social benefits, pursuant to Article 3 for the Social Security Law 18/2006, thus having a permanent sources of income.
The committee further noted that "Law 74/2006 on care, rehabilitation and employment of the disabled grants the disabled citizens monthly benefits that do not affect any of their other rights or benefits stipulated by another law."
