Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Fifth High Criminal Court presided over by judge Ibrahim Al-Zayed with the membership of judges Mohsen Mabrouk and Moataz Abu Al-Ezz and Yousif Bu Hardan as a secretariat sentenced a suspect to 2 years in prison over beating a policeman and insulting another.

The Public Prosecution accused the suspect of attacking the bodily integrity of a corporal on February 11, 2013 and caused him the damages mentioned in the medical report. The suspect caused the victim a permanent disability without an intention to do so. The prosecution also accused the suspect of insulting two official employees while performing their jobs.

The suspect was arrested over a criminal lawsuit in the pre-trial detention in Dry Dock Prison when unpermitted materials were seized with him in the visitation room. Thus, the policeman (the second victim) took him out of the room and the suspect insulted the policeman and shouted at him. As a result, the first victim came. However, the suspect insulted him and pushed him to the ground, causing him about a 2% disability in bending his little finger, according to a medical report.
