Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's First High Criminal Court presided over by judge Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa with the membership of judges Dia'a Al-Huraidi and Mohammad Jamal Awad and Abdullah Hassan as a secretariat issued one-year jail term against a defendant (27 years) over beating policeman by the handcuffs, damaging his uniform by cutting one of his buttons and insulting him.

The defendant is serving a life-sentence term in Jaw Prison. An administrative order was issued to transfer him to solitary confinement in another building and the policeman (plaintiff) headed to execute the aforementioned order.

The policeman stated that he asked the inmate to head with him to the other building, but the latter refused to obey the order. The defendant pushed the policeman and hit him by the handcuffs, cut his military uniform button and insulted him.

The Public Prosecution accused the suspect of attacking the bodily integrity of a member of public security forces on May 12, 2016 while performing his job, insulted the victim and deliberately damaged his military uniform.
