Bahrain Mirror: Chief of Terror Crime Prosecution Advocate General Ahmed Al Hammadi said that the prosecution launched its investigations in the incidence of bombing a Minister of Interior bus on February 26, 2017, and assigned experts to examine the crime scene in a way that helps the investigations.
According to the prosecution, investigations led to the identification of perpetrators, noting that so-called terrorist "Al-Ashtar Brigades", among them fugitives outside Bahrain, continue their terrorist schemes in Bahrain through recruiting terrorist groups inside the country. Moreover, the prosecution's investigations claim that the assigned groups each form a separate terrorist cell, and work on destabilizing the kingdom and endangering its safety and that of its people.
In addition, investigations' results noted that recruited members are militarily trained in Iran and Iraq to use weapons and create bombs to spread chaos and insecurity among people.
On this level, 14 suspects from the terrorist affiliation were arrested, their houses searched, and materials confiscated from places used as weapon storages.
The Public Prosecution interrogated the suspects under the law-abiding guarantees, and accused them of forming and joining terrorist groups, and attempting to murder and train on weapons and explosive devices.
It ordered the preventive detention of all defendants pending investigations, while it ordered the complementary investigations to carry on, and technical reports to be finalized quickly.
