Bahrain Mirror: The major administrative court postponed on Monday (March 20, 2017) the first hearing on dissolving the National Democratic Action Society "Wa'ad" to April 17, so that the defense lawyers representing Wa'ad could present their proxies.

The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments had filed a lawsuit demanding the dissolution of "Wa'ad". This came about one year after the ministry filed a similar lawsuit against Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, Bahrain's largest opposition society.

The authorities have been launching harsh campaign against activists and dissidents since June 2016. This was met with severe criticism from the United Nations and Bahrain's most prominent ally, the United States.
